Same is true Zehtuka weapons. It cost me about 300g to buy all the leather patterns and another 200 for the weapons I wanted. Just by playing you'll slowly accumulate gear boxes and currency making gearing up a new ascended set dirt cheap. Not even mentioning that for the most part, exotic armor is a perfectly viable option for the vast majority of content.
